Birdman Dave’s New
Migration
After 30 years
of nesting in Carrboro, N.C., we have caught the bird
impulse to travel. My wife and I have sold our house and
bought a road-runner of a recreational vehicle,
nicknamed Dream Catcher. Thus, I am taking my programs
across the country.
Choosing to return to North Carolina for at least one
season of each year, I look forward to continuing my
performance relationship with each of you. My feathered
friends for future shows will be Belle the macaw and Sky
the parakeet, plus Meme the puppet.
I have found wonderful homes for the owls, which due to
federal and state permit-requirements, sadly cannot go
with me.
I send thanks and appreciation to all those who have
been so supportive of my shows over the years. We
eagerly anticipate our next migration to your locale.

How Birds Learn to Read
Did you ever imagine birds could
read? Certainly many of our feathered friends can fly, some can
swim like ducks, but read? Birds share many of our reading
skills. They possess remarkable observation and listening
skills, problem-solving abilities and unending curiosity. As a
little bird once told me, “Reading gives you wings to fly”. |
